Welcome to Degree Metropolitan Food + Drink, an urban gathering place unique among restaurants in downtown Denver that blends new school with old school, offering handcrafted food and drinks done right.

Our familiar, globally-inspired menu is thoughtfully sourced featuring local Colorado meats, ethically-caught seafood, and produce from within 90 miles. All meals are easily paired with one of our 16 wines by the glass, a selection of 20 Colorado craft beers, or a specially-crafted cocktail made from local spirits.

Whether it’s a lunchbreak from work or a night out with friends before heading to the Pepsi Center, our comfortable ambiance and locally-sourced cuisine has made Degree a standout destination among downtown restaurants. That’s because our downtown Denver restaurant is also part of the Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Hospitality, Tourism and Events program, which provides first-hand, interactive restaurant management experience. Additionally, funds from the restaurant go directly towards student scholarships.

Meet Executive Chef Daniel Hyman

Executive Chef Daniel Hyman expresses himself through food, seeing it as a way to speak to anyone at any level. His globally-influenced style allows his food to represent the people that provided it. The great quality and care he cooks with shows in each dish. He thrives on supporting the local economy, especially in a city like Denver where the community embraces the food culture and its chefs. He wants to give back to his community by passing on his knowledge to the talented cooks and emerging chefs of Denver.

Chef Hyman started cooking at age twelve and received his culinary degree from the Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago. He has trained and cooked aside celebrity chefs in Chicago such as Chef Alex Cheswick, Stephanie Izard, and Jacky Pluton. After working with Starwood and Hyatt hotels, he joined Sage Restaurant Group at The Curtis Hotel and The Corner Office. Currently with Sage Hospitality, he was the opening Chef of the SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown at MSU Denver. We are proud to have him on our team..
